This is Ms. Davis’s first year with ODA as a Co-Coordinator. She recently moved to Cleveland from Detroit, MI. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, with a focus in Women & Gender Studies. While in Detroit, Tay worked as an Assistant Site Coordinator for Eastern Michigan University 21st CCLC Bright Futures. At Bright Futures, she served to improve academic achievement, develop self-efficacy, and prepare elementary, middle, and high school students to transition to the next level of schooling.
She became an active member of the North Rosedale Park Civic Association in 2007 after graduating from high school, serving as a Grandmont Rosedale Little League Baseball/Softball coach. She spent countless hours preparing fields, raising funds, distributing uniforms, and selling concessions to give back to a community that taught her the importance of teamwork, self-discipline, and hard work.
With her background of serving communities, Tay’s ultimate goal is develop a community center for LGBTQ teens, while providing housing and education for those teens that are homeless. If Tay is not in the office of ODA or Central Middle School, you can find her snuggling with her cat, Jetson, while watching Netflix.
