Tessa Scott has spent over 4 years dedicating herself to education equality in the urban and rural communities. Tessa started off her career at ODA in October 2016 as an Assistant Campus Coordinator, and has now taken on the role as Campus Coordinator.
Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Tessa obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Communication Studies, along with a Business minor and Diversity Studies Certificate. Upon graduation, she joined the 2014 Cleveland AmeriCorps of Teach For America, where she unselfishly committed herself to teaching two years in the Central Promise Neighborhood of Cleveland. She is now furthering her career in the nonprofit sector by pursuing her Master’s Degree from John Carroll University in Nonprofit Administration, with hopes of graduating in 2018. While furthering her career in the nonprofit sector, Tessa will continue her passion in service and community development.
Her hobbies include listening to music, dancing, shopping, sleeping, spending time with family and friends, and putting smiles on faces through funny jokes and interactions.
Tessa’s hopes are to inspire and empower all of mankind to reach their destiny by defining their purpose. She lives by the Maya Angelou quote, “If you get, give. If you learn, teach. These are lessons to live by.”
