Board of Directors

Open Doors Academy welcomes Roger S. Frank as president of the Board of Directors.

Prior to being named president, Frank had chaired the organization's marketing committee for three years. In that role, he led the organization through the start of its first branding initiative. As part of the organization's summer camp program, he developed curriculum to teach youth about the art of storytelling and involved eight middle school students in creating the Open Doors Academy annual report.  He also directed the development of a closed social networking site designed for exclusive use by the program's students while also teaching them about the importance of safety and ethical behavior in social networks.

"Open Doors Academy is in the process of gaining ground and spreading its wings throughout the Greater Cleveland Community," said Annemarie Grassi, the organization's executive director. "We were searching for a president who would bring an entrepreneurial spirit and energy to the organization and immediately our attention was drawn to Roger to fill that position. We are confident in his ability to help take Open Doors Academy to the next level in terms of services to the Greater Cleveland Community and the families we serve."

Frank, 42, is a partner in the Cleveland-based marketing communications firm, Little Jacket. Prior to joining Little Jacket, he spent sixteen years at Marcus Thomas LLC where he was a Vice President/Associate Creative Director and developed marketing programs for several Fortune 500 companies. His work has been awarded with numerous local, regional and national awards.

Frank has also served as treasurer for the Advertising Federation of Greater Akron, was a past board member of the Cleveland Society or Communicating Arts and a member of the marketing committee for Judson Inc. He currently resides in Cleveland Heights with his wife Heidi and daughter Emily.
