Executive Director's Statement

Welcome to Open Doors Academy.  If you are new to the organization, please be sure to take a close look at all that we do in the Greater Cleveland Community.  We are so proud of our students and all that they have accomplished!  Over the last 9 years we have maintained a 100% high school graduation and 100% of our graduates pursue post secondary education options after high school.  As we have expanded we have further developed our programs to best serve the needs of the child.  We spend our days in the schools working with teachers, shadowing classes, and mentoring youth.  In the afternoon we provide academic tutoring, enrichment that encompasses our seven pillars of programming, and provide youth with a healthy meal each day. 

Our programming is built off theoretical frameworks which seek to engage youth in positive peer social networks, provide caring adult relationships, incorporate parental involvement, and building community in the schools.  We have made large strides in our schools and with our youth.  Our students have demonstrated stronger Ohio Achievement Assessment Scores, increased academic performance, improved social skills, and a higher level of maturity in comparison to their peers.  We are committed to seeing every child succeed and hope that you will join us on the journey!
