Give a Helping Hand this Holiday Season

Open Doors Academy has been blessed this year with many gifts, including an expansion to three new sites.  Although we still have a need for continuing support, we would like to pay it forward.  Almost 88% of our students are living in low-income households, struggling to make ends meet. Of those students 67% of them make under $18,000 a year for a family of four, which is considered extreme poverty.


In a time where hope is needed and the gift of giving to others is most critical, we ask that you consider adopting an Open Doors Family for the Holidays. 

DETAILS:

  • We have families ranging from 4 people to 23 in a single family, you can choose the size of the family you adopt

  • We are asking that donors provide each child with 2 "wants" and 1 "need" from their wish list.  If people want to do more they are welcome to do so, but it is not required.

  • Also, it is encouraged, but not required to provide the parent with one gift (usually a need like blankets or sheets) from their list or some people provide food for the holidays.  It is really up to the donor.
