Jeff Smith, Program Coordinator

Jeff Smith currently resides in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, but is originally from Kent, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate coursework at Hiram College, and obtained an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College. He is a loyal Buckeyes, Browns, and Cavs fan, and he enjoys all genres of music. He is an avid reader and loves anything trivia related- especially the game show Jeopardy! Jeff has worked with young adults in a variety of roles. In 1998 and 2000, he was a summer counselor for the Catholic Youth Organization Sumfun program designed to meet the needs of disabled children and teens, and he served as a summer counselor for the Barbara Byrd Bennett Scholars program in 2003 and 2004. From 2004 through 2008, he worked at Salem State College in Salem, Massachusetts as a Staff Associate in the Campus Center. This past summer, Jeff served as a Youth Coordinator for Youth Opportunities Unlimited, supervising area teens in various summer jobs. Jeff believes that every human being should strive to improve the lives of as many people as possible, and he enjoys being a part of the Open Doors organization.
