Miles Park Elementary School

Open Doors Miles Park Site launched in October, 2009. Miles Park Tutoring Program has served as a long-term ministry of St. Paul's Church. In 2007, Open Doors was approached by a group of parishioners at the church as to the possibility of opening a site at the school. A task force was created and a relationship was built between Open Doors, the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, and the school's principal at the time, Francie Watson. A strong team in place, Open Doors began obtaining a license to operate a site in the school, and began investigating funding sources. In 2009 Open Doors received 5 years of capacity-building programming support from the Ohio Department of Education to open the Miles Park Site and today we are serving 25 students with a capacity to serve 30 students in the first year!
