The Frolic

ODA’s Annual Benefit
Postponed
The House of Blues

This message likely comes as no surprise.

As we responded to the seriousness of the coronavirus outbreak and its ramifications for our scholars and families, it became clear to the ODA team that we could not move forward with our annual benefit, the Frolic.

The Frolic is ODA’s largest and longest-running fundraiser. At the Frolic, we celebrate the success shared by our scholars and families, the ODA team and Board of Directors, our partners, supporters, and donors. We are immensely grateful for everyone’s support of this event and our work, in particular to our sponsors, our host committee, and everyone who had already committed to the Frolic.

To all of them: Thank you.

Right now, our focus needs to be and remains on our kids, who need ODA more than ever. They are not in school – and they may not finish this school year. So, every day our team leverages the trusted relationships they have forged with kids and parents. They touch base, engage them in literacy and math enrichment, and provide the kind of support that will help our kids stay on track for high school graduation and more.

Our kids have always been our focus. That is true today more than ever.

We remain hopeful that the celebration of our scholars at the Frolic is simply postponed, and we are looking at some alternative dates for later this year. Though so much depends on what is beyond our control, we look forward to sharing new details with you in the future.

Should you have any questions about sponsorships, ticket purchases, or our work during the coronavirus outbreak, please contact Ed Stockhausen directly.

In gratitude for your continued support,

The ODA Team
