Alexis Crosby joined the Open Doors Academy team in October 2017. She is currently the Career Pathways Coordinator at Euclid High School. A Cleveland native, she is a graduate Glenville High School (and a third generation Tarblooder!). Alexis continued her education at Case Western Reserve University with Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and English and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology.
Alexis’s most recent role was as the Regional Director of TECH CORPS, an educational non-profit focused on computer science and technology experiences for K-12 students. She also worked with the Leonard Gelfand STEM Center, and Project Step-Up at Case Western Reserve University. Both positions involved organizing STEM outreach experiences for students, and organizing a tutor program for Cleveland area schools and libraries.
Alexis spends her free time continuing to engage with educating and supporting young people. She is a member of Fresh Ink, the Young Professional Board of Lake Erie Ink, the NEOHBots, and is a graduate of Class 33 of Neighborhood Leadership Institute’s Leadership Class.
