Mrs. Sasson has spent over 7 years in non-profit education. In true Cleveland fashion, she boomeranged back to her hometown as a strong advocate of urban education and community development. Andrea started her professional career as an AmeriCorps member, directly serving the Cleveland community. She has since gone on to teach and volunteer in similar capacities, including mental health counseling, teaching English as a second language in Cambodia, and as site coordinator for an afterschool program.
A graduate of Yeshiva University – Stern College for Women with a B.A. in English Communications, Andrea spent 5 years between Israel, New York City, and Los Angeles developing and honing her professional skills working in television, talent management, and media.
Andrea is delighted to be one of the newer staff members at Open Doors Academy, starting off her career at ODA as an Assistant Campus Coordinator and now taking on the role as Campus Coordinator. She feels strongly about giving back to the community, helping build things from the ground up, and seeing the abundance of potential and success in our youth. When she is not working, she can be found globetrotting, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family.
