Cedric Jamerson

Career Pathways Counselor

Mr. Ced joined the Open Doors Academy team in May 2019 and serves as the Career Pathways Counselor for Euclid High School. Prior to his position at Open Doors Academy, he served as a Care Management Specialist with Community Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS), where he worked with youthful offenders on substance abuse education and social skills enhancement.

Cedric is a native of Florida and moved to Ohio in 2017.  He graduated from The Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree. At his time in FAMU he served as the President of the Student Social Workers Association (SSWA) and was also a mentor with “Vision of Manhood” mentoring program that worked with students from K-12th grade. After college Cedric began working as a substance abuse counselor for six years for WestCare Foundation, where he elevated to Lead Counselor before his move to Ohio.

Cedric was recently married and became a father. Cedric believes that fatherhood is his greatest achievement and challenge to date. In his free time Cedric enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports and cooking on the grill.
