Lizzie has been working in education and afterschool programming for 8 years. She attended Wittenberg University, where she graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. She has worked as a Servant Leader Intern and Site Coordinator for the Children’s Defense Fund at the Freedom School. She has also served as an AmeriCorps member for City Year Jacksonville, where she tutored and mentored high school students in an Algebra 1 classroom. Lizzie previously served as a program coordinator for ODA at Cleveland Heights High School between November 2019 and November 2020. Following her time at ODA, she returned to Jacksonville, Florida, and worked as a Child Protective Investigator for the Florida Department of Children and Families. Lizzie missed having a position that allowed her to build and maintain relationships with youth, so she relocated to Cleveland to be closer to her family and continue her work with ODA. In her free time Lizzie enjoys nature, meditation, poetry, and spending time with her friends and family.
