Louis Grün was born and raised in the tiny Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. Prior to moving to the United States, he attended the University of Luxembourg and earned a Bachelor’s degree in European Culture and English Studies and worked as a Social Media Manager Assistant for the university. In the fall of 2017, he completed a semester at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio as part of an exchange program. Louis returned to Miami University for his Master’s in History which he obtained in August of 2020. While at Miami University he had the opportunity to work for two years as a Teaching Assistant with college-level students. Before attending university in Luxembourg, Louis worked at a non-profit in his hometown that helped children with disabilities across Luxembourg.
As a former member of the Scouts and Guides of Luxembourg, Louis was able to help organize events for the local community. Furthermore, Louis went on three humanitarian trips to the Republic of Georgia to help local communities in renovating houses and camp grounds in an effort to help youth from Georgia in their professional development. He was subsequently awarded the Scout of the World Award by the WOSM in 2013.
Louis has a passion for teaching history and loves helping students discover cultures that they have not been exposed to before. In his free time, Louis likes to cook and explore new recipes and is very passionate about soccer as well as travelling to new and old destinations.
