Shenita Siggers joined the Open Doors Academy team in 2013. She is the proud mother of a miracle baby boy named Chance, who is a true blessing in her life life. The youngest of 4 children, she was raised in a Christian home with her parents and siblings. She attended Shaker Heights city schools K-12th grade and furthered her education by attending Cuyahoga Community college where she majored in early childhood education. She plans to return to college this fall to finish her degree. Shenita has demonstrated a strong commitment to her field and interest in working with youth and has over five years experience in the youth development field. She found herself falling in love with children when she herself was just a child. While attending Mercer elementary school, as a 4th grader she found her passion for children with autism and made a firm commitment to find opportunities to make a difference by committing her time and energy to working with children. During the summers she would work as a nanny for different families and friends and for the last six years she has had the privilege to work as a Pre-K teacher.
“Children are my passion. I believe that education, morals and values all fall in place together, but the greatest of them all is Love. I look forward to working with Open Doors Academy families here at Miles Park. Working together making an impact one youth at a time.”
