Tenille Threatt started at Open Doors Academy in the spring of 2009 as a substitute and tutor. With the expansion and growth of ODA she soon became a full member of our team. Within her time at ODA, Tenille has been Campus Coordinator, Campus Manager, Associate Director of Compliance, and has moved into the position of Compliance Director.
Tenille graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. She has also participated in programs such as Upward Bound, America Reads, Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program, and studied abroad, with American Field Service (AFS) in Chile, South America.
Before joining the ODA team, Tenille worked with the AVID Program in the CHUH school district, where she tutored and mentored middle and high school students. It was then that she realized her fondness of working with middle school students.
Having always been involved in after and out of school programs, Tenille feels she truly understands the importance and value of the ODA model, mission, impact and lasting impression it leaves on its students and their communities. In her free time Tenille loves being a mom to her son, who she always describes as “AMAZING” and spending time with her family and friends. As Associate Director of Compliance she will be able to use her experience and knowledge to help ensure that ODA staff are prepared and equipped to provide quality programming, and the ODA scholars are receiving the “best in class” experience that ODA has to offer.
