Lights On Afterschool is part of a national celebration recognizing the vital role of afterschool programs in helping youth and families thrive. Each year, Open Doors Academy brings together educators, business and community leaders, policymakers, and families from across Northeast Ohio to shine a light on the power of high-quality out-of-school time.

This year’s event will be held at the City Club of Cleveland and will feature a timely conversation about how afterschool programs can not only improve academic success and offer enriching opportunities but also give working parents the peace of mind and support they need.

Lights On Afterschool is a chance to celebrate youth potential, highlight the importance of out-of-school programming for families, and recognize the essential role of learning beyond the school day.
