Sandusky Intermediate School

Kim Robare is our Interim Director of Programs who oversees all our program managers and also serves as the program manager for all our high school programs. Kim comes to ODA from a 14-year career in higher education as the Dean of Students at Lake Erie College. Originally from Massachusetts, she received her bachelor's degree from Regis College in Weston and her master's degree in education from Lake Erie College. An educator at her core, Kim’s passion for scholar development goes beyond the classroom, including life skills, experiences and opportunities for anyone to educate and improve themselves.

When not working, Kim enjoys movies and tv shows with her husband, Mike and three daughters.

Mrs. Sarah White began working with Open Doors Academy in 2022. She became the ODA coordinator for Sandusky in 2025. This is her 11th year teaching at Sandusky City Schools. Sarah earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University, a Reading Endorsement from Notre Dame College, and her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Mrs. White is a proud wife and mom to three sons—and a proud Army mom! She enjoys traveling, collecting seashells, and spending quality time with her family. Mrs. White believes strongly in building positive, meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff, knowing that strong relationships are at the heart of a successful school community.
