Q: How do I download SeatGeek and create an account?

A: Download the SeatGeek app by going to the app store on your smartphone. Create your account using the same email associated with your Open Doors Academy account. DO NOT PURCHASE ANY TICKETS ON SEATGEEK. Your tickets will be released to your SeatGeek App through ODA after verification. Tickets should be released by February 16th.

Q: How many tickets can I purchase?

A: You may purchase enough tickets for everyone in your HOUSEHOLD; this will be compared to your ODA registration. Any tickets purchased for members outside the household will initiate a refund for your entire order. For households larger than 10, please contact the Family Engagement Team (see below for contact information).

Q: When will I receive my tickets?

A: Please allow time for tickets to be approved and released to your SeatGeek accounts. The process will begin once sales end on Jan 26th. Tickets should arrive by February 16th. If you do not see your tickets in your account by February 17th, please contact the Family Engagement Team (see below for contact information).

Q: Can I print tickets?

A: There are no printed tickets. Tickets are in the form of electronic tickets through SeatGeek and will be accessible only via a mobile device.

Q: Are kids under a certain age free?

A: Per Rocket Mortgage Field House Policy, children under the age of 2 years old do not need a ticket; however, they must be seated on a Parent's lap during the event. Children above the age of two require tickets for any sports or entertainment event at Rocket Mortgage Field House.

Q: Is there transportation, and do I have to pay for parking?

A: ODA is providing free bus transportation at Breakthrough Glenville and Orchard Stem School. If you decide to drive yourself, parking at the Field House is not provided by ODA.

Q: Is food and drink provided?

A: Everyone in attendance will receive 1 free meal voucher at check-in. Check-In ends at 7PM. This voucher is good for a hotdog, a bag of chips, and a drink. It will be redeemable at a designated food stands marked on the voucher. There will also be a Vegan/Vegetarian voucher option upon request.

Q: What time should I arrive?

A: Driving yourself, arrival time: 6:00 pm at the Discount Drug Mart Entrance.

If you are riding a bus, the bus will be leaving Breakthrough Glenville at 5:40 PM and Orchard at 5:40 PM. If you arrive later than those times, the buses will be gone!

Q: Can I enter at any entrance?

A: No, please enter through the Discount Drug Mart entrance and an ODA Staff member will direct you to our check-in locations.

Q: Do we have to meet before the game starts?

A: Yes! Check-in is where you will receive your Swag Bag and your meal vouchers and get credit for your family engagement hours. Check-in is from 6-7 pm, but swag bags are only available while supplies last.

Q: Can my scholar attend the game by themselves?

A: NO! All ODA Scholars and siblings must attend the event with either their parent/guardian or another trusted adult.

Q: Can I send my scholar with another ODA family or adult?

A: Yes! However, please make sure all tickets are purchased in the same order as the family they are arriving with to be seated together. In this case, the scholars ticket will be sent to the chaperoning adult’s SeatGeek account.
