Open Doors Academy to Honor Dale Anglin with Luminary Award at Annual Benefit Clambake

CLEVELAND, OH — On October 14, 2023, Open Doors Academy will present the Luminary Award toDale Anglin, the Cleveland Foundation’s Vice President of Proactive Grantmaking, in recognition of her profound impact on out-of-school time (OST) learning. The award presentation will be a highlight of Open Doors Academy’s Third Annual Benefit Clambake at the Cleveland Rowing Foundation.

With her passionate commitment to youth development, Dale believes genuine learning transcends the classroom. “I learned who I was as a person in OST programs,” she says. “The best OST programs arewhere young people can shine and don’t have to be perfect.”

Throughout her career, Dale has consistently championed youth initiatives. Starting in public policy, she held significant roles at the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management and the VictoriaFoundation before joining the Cleveland Foundation.

Open Doors Academy’s CEO, Dr. Dorothy Moulthrop, commends Dale's dedication: “Dale is a tireless advocate for Cleveland's youth and a beacon in the OST domain. Her practical, transformative approach makes her an ideal Luminary Award recipient."

The Luminary Award is given to a Greater Cleveland community leader who has had an invaluable impact on out-of-school time learning. This person is a champion of youth, who recognizes learning extends beyond the classroom and if you give them a place to feel safe and the tools to succeed, they will find a way around any obstacle.
