On November 14, we embraced the world.
Seven hundred scholars, family members, volunteers, supporters, and staff came together at Euclid High School for our tenth annual International Festival. Attendees explored global traditions and vibrant cultural diversity through food, performances, and scholar presentations.
To prepare for the festival, scholars in grades K through 12 across our Northeast Ohio sites spent six weeks researching cultures, selecting traditional dishes, and rehearsing performances.
One of the evening’s many highlights was the Global Passport Challenge. Families traveled from booth to booth, collecting stamps while hearing scholars’ stories and savoring flavors from around the world. “Our family loved exploring all the booths and trying foods we’d never had before,” shared one parent. “It was a fun and meaningful way to learn about new cultures together.”
Like all our family events, the International Festival intentionally builds community and trust, deepening relationships with families and strengthening the networks that help our scholars thrive.
As the night came to a close, families left inspired and with a shared sense that the world – and each other – felt just a little closer.
