While homework and test scores are on his mind, Antwon Bolden is thinking most about the person he’s becoming.
“One thing I didn’t expect to learn at ODA,” said the eighth grader scholar from Euclid Middle School, “is that you need to work with all different kinds of people.”
Through group projects, team challenges, and thoughtful conversations with staff, he’s discovering how to bring out the best in himself and others. He also knows building confidence, collaborating with others and learning how to navigate different personalities are the keys to success.
“It helps me build my character and the dimension of who I want to be,” he shared.
But what stands out most to Antwon isn’t an activity. It’s a feeling. ODA has become a place where he sees possibilities in every direction.
“There are many people out there who have been able to achieve their dreams,” he said. “And here, nothing is stopping me now.”
That belief has fueled his excitement about what comes next.
“I can’t wait to see what the future is holding for me.”
For Antwon, ODA is a launchpad, a place where he feels supported, sees his own potential, and takes confident steps toward his future.
