On Saturday, October 17, Open Doors Academy will recognize those contributions by presenting Frank with its 2026 Luminary Award during the Sixth Annual Benefit Clambake at the Cleveland Rowing Foundation.

Frank is the owner of Little Jacket, a Cleveland-based branding and strategic marketing communications agency, and serves on the boards of the Greater Cleveland Partnership and the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE). Throughout his years with ODA, he has served as Board Chair, helped guide the organization’s communications and storytelling, strengthened relationships throughout the community, and remained connected to many of its scholars and programs.

Frank also envisioned what has become ODA’s Annual Benefit Clambake, now the organization’s signature fundraising event. Each year, the Clambake brings together business and community leaders, supporters, families, and friends while raising critical funds that help more young people and families access the life-changing opportunities ODA provides. This October, the event becomes the setting where Open Doors Academy honors his remarkable contributions to the organization.

“Open Doors Academy is the very definition of a purpose-driven organization,” said Frank. “It’s been an honor to help ODA share its story for nearly two decades. An organization rarely scales and retains its culture, but I’ve personally seen how an ODA program in Mansfield is every bit as powerful as one in Cleveland. If you find time to interact with ODA scholars, you’ll be rewarded by seeing a group of kids who will fill you with hope for our future.”

“Roger’s impact on Open Doors Academy is foundational, consistent, and enduring,” said Dr. Dorothy Moulthrop, ODA’s CEO. “For many people, their first exposure to ODA has been through something Roger created or influenced. He has helped people connect with our mission because he has kept our scholars at the center of the story. Through his leadership, his vision, and his unwavering commitment, Roger has helped shape Open Doors Academy in ways that will continue to influence our future. We are honored to recognize him with this year’s Luminary Award.”

Proceeds from the Sixth Annual Benefit Clambake help Open Doors Academy provide high-quality, year-round out-of-school programming and family engagement for more than 1,900 students across Northern Ohio. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities remain available. Individual tickets will go on sale in August.
