Open Doors Academy CEO Dorothy Moulthrop has been named one of Cleveland Public Library's Cleveland 230 honorees, a yearlong initiative celebrating individuals whose leadership, service, and contributions have helped shape Cleveland's history and continue to move the city forward.
Dorothy was selected as part of a group recognized for advocating for Cleveland's children alongside community leaders whose work has expanded educational opportunity, strengthened families, and helped young people reach their full potential.
Since becoming CEO in 2020, Dorothy has led Open Doors Academy in expanding opportunities for children and families across Northern Ohio. Today, ODA serves nearly 2,000 students each year through year-round out-of-school programs that combine academic support, enrichment, mentoring, and family engagement.
The Cleveland 230 is part of One Cleveland, Cleveland Public Library's civic pride initiative recognizing 230 individuals whose leadership and impact reflect the spirit and strength of the city. New honorees are being introduced throughout the year, highlighting people whose work continues to shape Cleveland's future.
