Family Engagement + Workshops

Childhood development happens, first and foremost, in the home. The most important partners we have in our mission for kids are our families.

We partner with our families to provide resources and to align with parents and guardians to ensure consistent, rigorous support for our scholars.

Our Family Program is one of the most unique elements of ODA. Among the range of resources we provide are:

• Workshops designed to strengthen skills and provide knowledge that empowers families
• Family events that engage the whole family in the learning process and build community
• Referral programs that connect families with specialized resources to address individual needs

Our Family Program team also provides wraparound support by connecting families with local service providers that specialize in areas such as housing, food stability, workforce development, legal support, mental health, tutoring, and more.
