Summer enrichment is central to what Open Doors Academy is all about. Summer programs are 100% out-of-school time, and out-of-school programming is what we do best.

Our summer programs pair enrichment and learning experiences with the the "get your hands dirty" spirit for which summer camp is so beloved.

Our summer programs are culturally responsive, engaging, and eye-opening learning experiences for our scholars.
Wide-ranging learning opportunities.
We offer over 50 program rotations each summer in partnership with over 15 organizations from across Northeast Ohio.
New places, new ideas.
Elementary summer scholars will take field trips to locations such as the Cleveland Zoo, The Cleveland Aquarium, The Museum of Natural History, Fieldstone Farm, Bellwether Farm, and the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes.
Middle school summer scholars will participate at camps at partner locations across Greater Cleveland, such as art studios, football fields, dance academies, industrial kitchens, national parks, aquatics centers, tennis courts, rowing club houses, and so much more.
Summer camp curriculum is tailored to each grade band to be developmentally appropriate and challenging for scholars. After enrolling, students will be assigned to a track that offers a diverse set of programming across thesummer focus areas:
Our elementary school program offers exposure to learning experiences in our core content areas. Students follow a block schedule each day that covers at least four core content areas (Core Content Areas 1-4 above.)
Elementary camp is open to current Kindergarteners through current 4th graders.
Our middle school program offers our students a chance to dive deep into one core content area each week. Over the course of each session, middle school students will explore multiple core content areas and deepen their knowledge and skills in all six Core Content Areas.
Middle school camp is open to current 5th graders through current 8th graders.
Our high school summer programs are open to currently enrolled ODA scholars at high school programs.
ODA’s high school summer program is rooted in college and career exploration and experiential learning. Scholars research colleges and careers, build resumes, practice public speaking and presentation skills, and work as paid interns in our K-8 summer camp. We also go on a variety of college visits and field trips and end summer with a week-long service-learning trip.
