Elder Abuse Hotline

The Division of Senior and Adult Services (DSAS) is the provider of Adult Protective Services (APS) in Cuyahoga County. APS is mandated to protect and assist adults 60 and over who may be victims of abuse, neglect, self-neglect and/or financial exploitation. Allegations of abuse of adults with disabilities ages 18 and over can also be investigated, provided the adult is willing to participate on a voluntary basis.

The Cuyahoga County Office of Reentry is committed to strengthening a network of community partners by coordinating innovative programs and services that assure quality opportunities needed for a successful reintegration. The Office of Reentry serves as a funder, convener, and collaborator in the reentry space. We exist to create an organizational structure that supports reentry research, community education, and best practices in the delivery of services for reentrants.

Cuyahoga County CFS Reentry Resources

DCFS works to assure children at risk of abuse and neglect are protected and nurtured within a family and with the support of the community as we strive to end the over-representation of people of color in the child welfare system. Safety, permanency, and well-being are the goals for every child and family we encounter. Employees investigate allegations, assess child safety and risk contributors, and help stabilize families that have been weakened through poverty, illness or crisis. DCFS provides safe and appropriate placement for children in County custody, and helps achieve permanency through reunification, legal custody or adoption.
